BAU offers a contemporary approach to higher education. Our undergraduate and graduate programs offer real-world insights from a faculty of scholar-practitioners. As thought leaders in their fields, they are closely involved with the newest policy developments in Washington, the city that impacts the world.Our students are members of a closely-knit community of global citizens who are committed to making the world a better place. History

We are part of the BAU Global Network, which has provided outstanding higher education for over fifteen years. The BAU flagship university, Bahcesehir University in Istanbul, has eight faculties, a school of languages, and two vocational schools. BAU Global’s network of universities and educational programs spans three continents, with offices in Toronto, Berlin, Rome, Hong Kong, and elsewhere.

 

Campus

BAU is located at the political and cultural heart of the nation’s capital, just two blocks from the White House. Our location in Washington, D.C. affords students easy access to key U.S. government agencies, foreign embassies, and leading international institutions (World Bank, IMF, IDB). This ideal location allows interaction with Washington-based think tanks as well as national and international media. BAU is also home to the Global Policy Institute, a highly regarded think tank focused on energy, education, economics, global affairs, and international security.

Academics 

BAU is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).in April, 2017. Leading in the field of laws and economics, BAU offers BA programs in Economics and International Affairs, and an MBA with three concentrations: Entrepreneurship, Global Affairs, and International Law and Economics.

Cultural Diversity

BAU has students coming from 23 countries including the US, Nigeria, Japan, Thailand, Ecuador, Syria, and Turkey. You will find it easier to blend in with this place- a melting pot with so many cultures and many things to discover.

Modern Library

BAU’s primary library research resources are provided electronically through access to Bahcesehir University’s Barbaros Library. The electronic library contains over ninety-eight major databases, licensed from Proquest, EBSCO, ACM, and IEEE. It provides access to over 35,820 full-text journals, reports and newspapers. Additionally, the library currently owns 46,374 electronic books, licenses publishers’ e-Book databases and subscribes to an additional 350,000 e-books. This design provides Library resources far greater than those of many institutions much larger than BAU International University.

The e-Library is available 24/7 year-round to all students and faculty with Internet access. During school hours, students can access the e-Library from BAU’s computer room, which has 27 workstations, and the physical library. BAU’s Librarian, Omar Akchurin, is an MLS degreed librarian with over twenty years of experience in public, government, and academic libraries.

Still, BAU has a physical library with Periodicals include the Economist, Foreign Policy, Bloomberg’s Business Week, MIT’s Technology Review, INC, and Fast Company, plus some newspapers available for the better experience.

Scholarship

Scholarships and Financial Aids

Application to BAU and tuition payment can be made online, which is a convenience for all of its students. Upon application, BAU students are considered for financial aid as their wish, and scholarships are available for all students regardless of their nationality and current enrollment status (part-time or full-time). Scholarship in BAU range from 25% to 100% of tuition fee, can be maintained over the period of study at BAU and does not have to be repaid.

 All prospective and current students may apply for a BAU Institutional Scholarship, regardless of their nationality, enrollment status (part or full time), or academic history. In awarding scholarships, we do take financial need into consideration, but our scholarship system is based primarily on merit (demonstrated academic achievement or other personal accomplishments).
