Program Specifics

• Teachers will attend 2 hour sessions twice per day in morning and afternoon for a total of 18 hours per week

• Teachers will review world standards for effective English teaching as well as gain new strategies and materials for effective English teaching

• Teachers will observe classroom teaching at Angelo State University’s English Language Learners Institute

• Angelo State University faculty in English, Linguistics, and Culture will provide instruction

• At concluding ceremony of ELTTI, teachers will receive a Angelo State University certificate of participation

Additional Activities

• Organized activities on and off campus to provide additional cultural experiences, including travel to other locations in Texas

• Participation in 2 specially arranged Toastmasters International meetings hosted
  by Angelo State University’s Toastmasters International Club

​

• Access to Angelo State University’s new student recreation center, including a weight room, climbing wall, indoor jogging track, multipurpose gymnasium, racquetball courts, and indoor swimming pool
