Overview

NEW FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIPS
Red and White and Academic Excellence Scholarships
The office of admissions will review all new freshman applications to determine if the student is eligible for an academic merit award -- Red and White (VA residents) or Academic Excellence (out-of-state) Scholarships. To be considered, the application for admission must be received by Dec. 1.

TRANSFER STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Transfer Excellence Scholarship
Transfer students that have maintained excellent academic standards on all attempted college courses will be considered for the Transfer Excellence Scholarship. Applicants must have completed at least 30 hours of college level work. To be considered for the Transfer Excellence Scholarship, all completed application materials must be received by admissions office by March 1.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa and have maintained high academic success during their college work will be considered for this scholarship. Applicants must have completed at least 30 hours of college level work. To be considered for the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, all completed application materials must be received by admissions office by March 
Foundation Scholarships
The Radford University Foundation has numerous partial scholarships that are awarded each academic year. These scholarships are based on factors such as hometown location, major, and merit. Upper class students are invited to apply for these scholarships during the spring semester and will be notified of awards in April for the upcoming academic year. There are several scholarships available to new students as well. A complete listing of scholarship opportunities can be found online at https://radford.academicworks.com.

General Information

Radford University will offer approximately 1.6 million dollars in Foundation Scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year. Close to 600 students will benefit thanks to Radford University’s many generous donors and foundations! APPLICATION OPENING AND CLOSING DATES FOR THE 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR
Students may begin the application process Friday, December 1 2017. The deadline to apply will be Monday, Feb. 5, 2018. Using Radford’s online scholarship application management system, AcademicWorks:( https://radford.academicworks.com) , students will be able to view available scholarships, create their applications, as well as review their award status once notifications go out.
